“The Invitation Of God”
Exodus 32: 1-14
For the past seven months now, we are left alone in the very comforts of our homes to choose what we really wanted to do. Even if you are obliged to work from home, the choice is still yours if you wanted to stay long in front of your computer or take a leave while your computer is still on. The choice is even yours if you want to dress up like you are in the office or stay comfortable in your own house dress. Or if you are a student, the choice is still yours.
Our priorities in life dictate our choices and our choices determine the outcome of our lives. Whether we arrive at the right destination or not depends on our choices that are often between alternatives that appear equally attractive but lead to entirely different results. Remember Adam and Eve. They made the choice to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil rather than the fruit of the tree of life. They made a choice that separated them and their descendants from God. But because God is love He did something about the situation and made it possible for man to find the way home.
And from then on, the Lord God continues to offer His invitation to all. And I believe we all know that God loves us so much. God is love and went to great lengths to make this possible. Our Lord Jesus Christ’ death on the cross paid the penalty for our sin, reconciled us to God and granted us access to His presence.
