Ellinwood Choirs

A church is noted for many things: its architecture, programs, pastors, and members. Ellinwood Malate Church is known for all these, but perhaps the one thing best retained in the hearts and minds of its members and guests after every worship service is the music.

Inspiring music resounds in the sanctuary each Sunday because of the songs of faith emanating from the hearts of thankful worshippers and church choirs. A worshipping congregation at Ellinwood sings at least two (2) hymns every Sunday, as well as responses after prayers and the reading of the Scriptures. The Ministerial Team and Church Staff, church officers, various organizations, campers, cell groups, families and even individual church members have taken turns providing the offertory music through the years. And of course, the different choirs — the heart of Ellinwood’s Music Ministry — beautifully sing every Sunday. Truly, Ellinwood is a singing church.

Ellinwood Malate Church features a different vested choir in each of its six (6) worship services, as well as two (2) special choirs with no assigned worship service. The church is also blessed with the recent addition of the Ellinwood Chamber Orchestra (EChO) in its music ministry.
