5th Sunday After Resurrection

Psalm 66:8-20, John 14:15-21

COVID-19 has resulted in a pandemic that has devastated the entire world. Many people are hurting, confused and frustrated. Tragically some have even died. And it’s still not over. And if that was not enough, other tragedies are occurring. And here comes the typhoon and minor quakes. Thankfully the Lord God Almighty has the solution for this as well as every other problems in life. What is happening to us in this present times will enable us to see things clearly, evaluate things accurately and handle things effectively. Our situation today has little less to do in terms of human perspective but more about seeing things from God’s perspective. Which means that we must see God in all things, trust God with all things, and experience God through all things! Yet hard facts are here in front of us. Hard times are real for everyone regardless of who we are or where we are. And difficult situations are not new to any generation. Hard times can come as a result of our own doings, natural catastrophe, economic disorder or an environmental syndrome. But there is no sure connection between our suffering and God’s displeasure with us.
